H1B Cancellation!! Jim..others..HELP!!

[H1B-Woes]

I was laid off on 31st dec and my company told me that they won\'t inform INS for 1 month, Meanwhile I got another job and they filed my H1 on 14th Jan Reipt ND# 01/17/02. I started working for them immediately afetr getting the recipt Notice. When I checked Automated status yeterday, it seems that my previous H1 was revoked on 27th feb and the INS has sent a notice to this regard. So Iam nnot sure when my previous company informed the INS about my termination(although they said they will wait for one month). My current H1 is still under process. Do I have to leave the country?? Please advise..Iam really tensed!!

Without knowing exactly what happened and when it is impossible to say

I\'d guess that you will be ok due to your short break in employment but there\'s no way to say for sure. You need to ask the attorney who filed your H-1 "transfer" to see what the suggested course of action is.
