My wife has applied for her H1B (H4 to H1) and we went to india to attend a marriage expecting that it will take time to get h1b approved. But surprisingly the approval notice came in less than 20 days just few days before she is back in US(on her original H4 only). We got to know of the aproval only today as we routinely called the company to find out the status.
The application date is July 19th, 2005, Approval date: Aug 8th and she is back in US on Aug 19th. However H1B start date is on Oct 1st 2005.
Is this going to be a problem? And if so, what is the worst case scenario?
