H1B applicaition for TN holder with PERM filed

hi there, I got my TN last July and filed perm last Nov, still pending. I am thinking submit a h1b on April, but not sure if perm would affect h1b? ( since it shows immigration intention) and since h1b can't start until oct 1, I need to renew tn on July, does h1b application/approval affect my tn renew? last question is how will the 6 year of h1 be calculated, does it start oct 1,2006 or start July, 2005. Thanks.

You can have dual intent on an H1b, so it won't be affected.

It starts when the H1b is approved which would be October.
