H1B and Voluntary Leave of Absence

Hi All -

Does taking Voluntary Leave of Absence affect one's H1B visa status? Example - One goes on Leave of Absence and employer just pays benefits for the voluntary leave of absence period. Voluntary Leave of Absence is for Health reasons.
