I am presently on F1 student status. I will get OPT from april 1. I got job offers from two companies A and B.
Firstly, Company A says that I cannot work on OPT with them but they can file H1B from me. I can start working with them only after I get H1B. So does that mean I can start working only from October 2005 or can i start working from the time my application is file or earlier by using premier visa processing??
Sencond, Company B allows me to work on OPT but will not file H1B.
So I have decided to work for company B on OPT till I get H1b from company A and incase I like company B ,i can transfer my H1b from company A to B.
Is it possible???

You are eligible for the additional 20,000 petitions for H1B workers for the FY 2005. So, Company A may convert your F1 status into H1 status either immediately by using premium processing or alternatively process your H1B visa with a specific provision that your H1B period start on October 1, 2005, in which case you can work for Company B until October 1, 2005.
