H1b and H4 visa - which is valid?

Hello Mr Rajiv

I have a H1b visa and my husband joined me in H4 status.After coming to the US,he applied and got his h1b approved.

Till now he did not get a chance to work using H1b.Meantime I changed my job from employer A to employer B and he has got his H4 approved with employer B.

Now what is my husband status? Is it H4 or H1b?I am getting concerned for even planning a trip to India.

Please advise..also let me know how to ratify the same?
