H1B and H4 visa in chennai with a difference between w2 an LCA

Hello Folks ,
I was on the bench last year for about six months and did not get paid for it. Therefore there is a significant difference between the LCA and the W2. I am planning to get married in a few months. Are there any people like me who have been in a similar situation and have obtained H4 visas for their spouses in Chennai?

I do see a number of posts where the chennai consulate has asked for past 2 years of W2 to be compared to LCA.

1. Have people been successful in getting H4 when there is a significant difference ?

ps: Has anyone with such problems tried to renew their H1B in chennai?
 
If you were on bench and your employer did not pay you, your employe is in violation of the LCA agreement for H1. You will have trouble getting an H visa in India, specially at Chennai. Many H4 applicants have been waiting for their visas at Chennai with similar situation. Do not expect to get H4 visa easily if your employer had violated LCA agreement.
