H1B and EAD at same time.. Please help me

My wife's H1 got selected in random process and INS requested some evidence documents on June 4th. At the same time i am applying EAD for her. My I485 documents reached INS on July 2nd and her employer sent evidence documents to lawyer, i hope lawyer might submit or submitted to INS. I don't have exact information on this. In this case just I would like to know, is there any problem doing both at same time. Because I485 or I765 applications does't have any question related to dependent H1. Please help me with exact information.

H1 and 485/EAD are independent processes. Once your wife gets both the approvals, you can chose to use either one of them going forward, based on your interest.

Unless you start "using" EAD, it will just be a safe side scenario, sitting in your desk. Obviously, H1 will remain as her validity doc. Once you start using the EAD for employment, you can stop worrying about H1.

At the juncture when you decide to NOT to use H1 further, you will require the AP as your travel document. Until then her H1 will be her valid visa in US.
