H1b amendment....Help

Hi,

I have valid H1 B visa stamp till end of dec 2005(same company).Recently my company applied for a new H1 B again(h1b amendment).So I got a new h1 approval with the same company(valid upto 2006). I want to go to India.So Do I have to apply for a new h1b visa stamp again or can I come back with my old visa to the US. Can i just show my old h1 approval at the port of entry.Your help will be greatly appreciated.

As long as you have a stamp in the visa even if you change the company you don't have to get thata stamped. Don't worry about it. Just go and come back with your existing visa and when you come back show them your recent 797. Never lie/mislead INS officers.

H1 B amendment please help

Hi

I am in a strange situation , I work for a company A which has been aquired by company B

First Question is

1) will i need an amended petition

If NO

Then here is the situation

I will be receiving paystubs from company A till december and I wil be receiving new pay stubs from company B from January onwards

I intend to go for my stamping in May 2007 , will this cause an issue as I will be carrying the petition from company A and pay stubs from company B , although I will be carrying a letter from my HR that such a change has happened but again I need some help and sincere advise on this

Has anyone faced this situation , it would be really helpful if someone can share his or her experience if any
