H1B 7th yr approved on New Job ->Visa Stamping

Hi Gurus,

I changed jobs with 4 months remaining on my 6th year H1b. Based on my labor petition that was pending for 2 years, my new employer got my h1b extended till 2008. My passport visa stamp expired on 9/30/2006 and I plan to go to India to get my visa stamped. Should I be concerned about anything? Have others in similar situations got their visa stamped without any issues?

Would appreciate any help / comments.

Employer wont want to hire me after H1 got approved - PLS HELP

Hi Gurus,

I am in the 6th year of my H1 and changed my job. For the new job, I applied for my H1 and get approved but it was approved only for a small period of time (Aug 21, 2006 to Jan 7, 2007) because of my availability in the 6-year period.

Now, they don’t want to hire me for the job since they want for a longer period. The employer knows the period when we apply for the visa itself.
Is there any way, I can get the COMPENSATION reimbursed for the visa-approved period.

What kind of form we need to fill out for this claim and what are the procedures? How long this generally takes to get the money back?
