H1B - 7th year extension - how to get a H4

Has any one obtained a H4 visa (for spouse in India)
  on a H1B - 7th year extension ( primary applicant in US)?

H4 based on 7th year extension.

Got H4 for my spouse from chennai without any problems for the duration of my H1 (7th year).
You can also get it from the state department.
 
7th year H1 ext. and H4

Hi ,

I just got my 7th year H1 ( got multiple entry visa also from vancuver). Since it took almost 7 months for the 7th year ext. my current H1 is good till dec 28th only. I am going to bring my wife back in Nov on H4. Will that cause any problems ?

i dont think there should be any problem with H4 even though
its close to expiration Dec. btw, have you thought about
applying for an extension again.

Got the H4 in 3rd week of August.

Got it within 4 days. Had to send copies of the Approval notice (including the petition), employment letter, marriage certificate, wedding photos, last 3 pay slips & last 3 months bank statements. Sent the wedding photos to be safe, even though we had got an earlier h4 (& have been married for some time now). Also sent photos of work place.

I am about to file H1-B Extension (expires at the end of Nov 2001). Would you please share, if I need to go thru applying for SESA, LCA (at DOL) and then H1-B Petition (at a Service Center), or directly at Service Center (i.e. H1-B Petition).

Please tell me what is the process and steps.
