Hi,
I have a question about how 6 years limit for H1B visa is counted. I was working in US from August 2000 to March 2002 then i went back to india and came back to US on B1 visa in Jan 2003 after 9 months of my departure in 2002. I was on B1 for 4 months and went back to india for H1 stamping as my new employer got my New H1 Approved. I came back on New H1B in July 2003. The gap between my H1B in 2002 when i left US & my entry on H1B in 2003 is more than one year but i came to US in Jan 2003 on B1 so will i get 6 years on H1B starting from 2003 or my earlier stay of 2 years will be counted together with my current stay since 2003 towards the limit of 6 years. I am confused, can you please clarify.
Thanks
