H1b 6 years and in different situation

HI ,
My H1 is expiring on july 31 2003 , I got extention for 7th year till 2004 as my labour was filed 2 years back , My wife is pregnent and due is on july 4th , what if i laid off before that how can i handle the situation to stay here till i get the baby's passport so that i can go back to india.

Can i go to another employer?
 
i think being out of status for 1-3 months should not be a problem
(please check with a lawyer for more info)
Make sure you still have health insurance after being laid off.

what is the proof we need to show that we have 365 days seniority on LOC application? As state of newjersey didnt send any reciept notice for LOC.

what r the documents u have submitted for 7th year extension?

Please reply its urgent.

Is there any other alternative for dept of state reciept?
