H1B 4 yrs, 1 yr out of US. new H1B 6yrs? or H1 B 2yrs left??

I am on H1B for 4yrs. I want to go to canada for a year.
If I come back after a year, will I get a new H1B for 6yrs ?
Or do I have to continue my old H1 for the remaining time
of 2 yrs( or 1 yr? Does anybody know?

If you are out of the US for one year the 6 year clock resets. It must be one year though, time in the US does not count (regardless of your status) and 364 days is not good enough.

My 5+ years H1B term is over. I have Labor pending for last 2 years in NJ. Not sure of approval(got RFE/NOF). Planning to apply for Labor from Ohio in 2 weeks. My lawyer says I will get 7th year extension even if NJ Labor is rejected, becuase of Ohio Labor application pending.

Can any one please confirm.......
