As of November 13, 2009, approximately 55,600 H-1B cap-subject petitions had been filed.... USCIS will continue to accept both cap-subject petitions and advanced degree petitions until further notice.
I am on L1 visa. Is it possible for me to apply H1 with Change of Status(COS) in such a way that COS to H1 is applicable from a date say Apr 1,2010. in other words if h1 is applied with COS do i need to start (with new employer) immediately as soon as petition is approved.
Actually i don't want to leave/resign my current employer right now and by march the quota of h1 2010 will be filled.
