I have sccussful H1B renewal at Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. I followed these steps. Might help these who are planning to go for H1B renewal
Take an appointment at https://www.nvars.com at Ciudad Juarez, Mexico embassy plan to take appointment at least 30 day’s before.
Book flight to EL Paso, Texas.
Visit http://www.victorgarciainternational.com/ and follow the steps to get Mexican permit & DD
(you get following services
U.S $100 Banamex Mexican bank DD
Mexican Permit
To and fro Cab service between Ciudad, Mexico and EL Paso, TX)
H1B Visa Check list:
1. Mexican Permit
2. $100 U.S. non-refundable application fee (Banamex Mexican bank DD)
3. Appointment letter for visa
4. Passport with I-94
5. Two Passport-size photo 2 x 2 inches
6. DS-156 (for how to fill the form go to http://www.immihelp.com/visas/ds156.html)
7. DS-157
8. I-797(either I-797A or I-797B) including all previous H1Bs
9. Copy of I-129B, petition completed by employer and filed with I.N.S.
10. Copy of approved LCA
11. Recent pay stubs /pay slips very important
12. Federal and State Tax return and W-2 forms for all the years stayed in U.S.
13. Original degree and transcripts
14. Education Evaluation certificate (If yours is not U.S degree)
15. Current employment letter should outline nature of work, duration and salary.
16. work experience letter
17. A complete resume and cover letter describing current job duties in detail
18. Information from previous employment
19. $50 Reciprocity fee which can be paid by credit card at embassy on visa approval.
