H1 visa Stamping Details

I came in 97 on a F1 visa and changed later to H1 in 98.
I am going to chennai to get my H1 visa stamped. What apapers
do i need to take with me. Do they do it using the drop box when
getting the H1 stamped the first time?

If anyone got the F1 to h1 stamping recently, please post your experience.
 
I tried the link, but the faq doesnt work there.
Anywhere else I might be able to get this info.

Sonewhere in there there is a link that lists the documents required for obtaining the visa. Hope this helps.
 
If you are working for university, I am sure
you have a sgholar faculty office
somewhere in your campus. You can
find out about the correct documents.
Please get advice from the office before
you leave the country, because it is
risky to get visa stamped. You might even
deal with a security check if you are within high risk countries and because
of your job type.
