H1 Visa stamping at Tijuana, Mexico on Nov, 1st. . .

Hi Friends,

We do have an appointment at Tijuana, Mexico for H1/H4 visa stamping on November, 1st 2006 at 9:30am. I wonder if any of you have the appointment on the same day.

I appreciate your help in Fee processing.... where to pay, how to pay etc., details.

I have a H4 stamping appointment at the Tijuana US consulate on December 26. Anyone on that day?

Do I need a Mexican visa to cross the border? I am from Los Angeles area. Any contact info on LA area Mexican consulates will be appreciated.

I have an appointment on December 26 at the Tijuana US consulate for a H4 stamping.

Here are my questions:
1) Do we need a Mexican visa to cross the border? I am from Los Angeles area. Any info about LA area Mexican consulate will be appreciated.
2) How long it will take to get a Mexican visa?
3) I have my H4 approval notice only till June 2007. Is that will be an issue for stamping considering it is a short period of time.
4) Does the stamping fees shall be paid in US currency?
5) Finally, anyone going to TJ on the same day.

You dont need a Mexican visa (I succesfully got stamped on Oct 26th)​

2) How long it will take to get a Mexican visa?
I dont know (read somewhere it takes 30-40 days)​

3) I have my H4 approval notice only till June 2007. Is that will be an issue for stamping considering it is a short period of time.
It is not a issue (Last time I had only 3 months and I got it stamped, currently I'm on 1 year renewal)​

4) Does the stamping fees shall be paid in US currency?
Yes, First you have to pay $100 (bank charged about $107 on Oct 26th rate), and then you will have to pay another $50 in the consulate (which can be paid by Credit card)​

5) Finally, anyone going to TJ on the same day.
Yes, in Tijuana they issued passport at 3PM same day.​
 
Ds 156/157

Hi Friends:

I have my stamping appointment at Tijuana on Dec 26.
I was in an assumption that DS156 and 157 forms shall be downloaded on-line. But those forms are not available at the uscis web site.

Please let me know how to get these 2 forms.
