H1 visa stamp in Canada

Hi Folks

This is a repost.

I came into this country on a F1 visa, graduated worked on my OPT and then got my H1B, got another job and got my second H1B. During which I never got my H1B stamped on my passport. I currently have F1 visa stamped on my passport which has expired for more than 3yrs. I currently want to go in and get my H1B stamped since I plan on going abroad. Also I am in the last stage of GC processing. I have received my AP and EAD.
Are there any issues that I might have overlooked. Someone in this discussion group mentioned that if your visa has expired for more than a year then u have to go to your home country. Is this true!!!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Easy H1 Revalidtaion Vancouver

I got my H1 revalidation on 22nd March at Vancouver and my education is from India.

1. Drove to Vancouver on 21st Evening from seattle. At the border the questions are, where are you coming from? Where are you going to? What is the purpose of visit?

2. At the consulate only 3 questions asked. Is it H1B transfer? Show me the company letter? Show me the latest pay stub. The interview process took around 2 minutes.

3. While entering back US they asked the same questions as in 1.

Overall it was very easy and smooth.
