H1 VISA revalidation

Hi,
I have sent my VISA for extension. After3 months of wait they sent back my visa stating that it didn't meet the photo reqmnts.
Pl tel me if I send my VISA fr revalidation in US again will I get it in 2 weeks time?
I'm getting married in FEB in INDIA.
I'm planning to get it stamped in INDIA anyways.

Hi

It became a common question from DC asking for new photo.
I know of 4 people... all of them got stamped passport in max of 15days after DC received the new photographs.

Now its my turn. My wife passport has been sent back from washington DC saying.... photo is not latest/not up to standards.

So post when u get urs back from DC so that others can benifit from this forum.

I am planing to send my passport very soon for Visa revalidaion.
How long its taking for H1B revalidation in Washington DC? Also what is the procedure to send passports to their office and then how to check the status.

Also is it possible to get revalidation from Canada. I have canadian PR. so should I go to canada or should send passport to DC office.

Any help will be appreciated.

My case is some what close to your situation..can any one please help me or advice...

I have applied for revalidation and details are as follows:

sent to St.Louis - August 15th, 2003
Received DC - September last week ( as usual even if we try to find out date when they received PP they dont tell ..)

Now Visa Office sent me back (after 4 months) without stamping on my passport on December 20th,2003 stating the following reason:

"You must submit a Recent, COMPREHENSIVE letter on the business/employer's letterhead, bearing an original signature, addressed to visa office, Department of State, identifying the applicatnt and describing in detail the nature of the applicatnt's position with the business/employer.""Recent, COMPREHENSIVE in detail

As per the above request I did submit all documents but have no clue what in detail are they looking for...my intial supporting letter had everything which meets the above requirements.

Anyways I did resent back to DC with more in detail description about my work and skillsets and can anyone please let me know or have any idea how may days will it take to case sent back to visa office under 221(G) .....

Re-submitted the ALL documents on December 21st,2003 and reached DC on December 22nd,2003 as per their request resubmitted DS-156 (Electronic Visa Form) ,DS-157 ,all other supporting documents they asked to submit.

I am getting married on Feb 1st and have no clue how long will it take if not I need to plan for withdrawl of my passport from Visa office...

Any help..any adivice are greatly appreciated..

Hi Guys,
I sent my passport fr Revalidation on Dec 20th 2003. It reached DC on Dec 22nd 2003.They generally take 5 working days to process. Considering all the christmas & new year holidays I got back my pass port on Jan 5th 2004.
- Just make sure that you write 221(g) boldly on the envelope.

Don't worry you guys will be fine. Just relax n chill..!!

H1 revalidation stamping after resubmitting with 221(g) issue

Hi,

Finally I received my PP bk frm DC after I sent back with 221(g).
Here is the detail summary:

1.Original Submission of PP receched St.Louis - Aug 15th

2.From St.Louis reached DC on - Sep 28th

3. Got back my PP with 221(G) issue Visa office looking for more in detail from my employer about me on Dec 20th,2003.

4. I sent back to Visa office with all required documents and reache Visa office on Dec 22nd,2003.

5. Stamping on my passport was done on 2nd Jan 2004.

6. Finally completed printing visa on my PP and was shipped on 5th Jan 2004.

7. Today (01/06/2004) I received my PP with stamping on it all set

I hope this infomration will be useful for all them.
