H1 visa revalidation in US

i recently got my 1 st extention of H1 visa and H4 for wife. I think we can , but i wanted to ensure that we can get the visa stamping /revaldiation done on our passport right here in US without going out of country.
If so , is it in washington( can we mail passport ) and also do we send the original H1 visa extention . how much time does it take , any glitches or possible problems,feedback appreciated
 
You are talking about few years back. Now there is no H1 stamping/revalidation happening anywhere in US. You have to go to some consulate outside US and appear personally for interview, if you want to get it stamped.
Going to your home country is recommended, not a legal advice.
Contact an attorney for more advice and check other threads to find out people's experiences regarding H1B stamping. It's more difficult then it was few years back.
