H1 Visa revalidation (after leaving the US)

Hi all,

I worked in the US in 2000/2001, and then returned to my country. My H1B expired in 2002 and I've never revalidated it.

My question is: can I have my H1B revalidated (or extended, if that's the correct term... ) in order to come back to the US, since I've only stayed for one year (when I could've stayed for 6 y.) ?

Any insight will be welcome.

Your expired H1B cannot be revalidated or extended.

You need to apply for a fresh H1B.
