38 days from Receipt - Dispatch.
Fedexed - Sept 20th (Friday)
Reached St. Louis - Sept 23rd (Mon)
Visa Revalidated Oct 29th and Fedexed back - Oct 30th
Received - Oct 31st.
Some of my personal observations (doubts/Qns for which I was querying this forum intensively in September):
1)Had sent the original MRV fees and NOT the increased fees which was effective from Nov 1st.
2)Enclosed prepaid return airbill with fedex envelope.
3)My passport was to expire next year but I wanted to revalidate my H1 visa for 2 yrs. Hence I renewed my passport first (3-5 days process by express mail or same day process for folks living in cities with Indian consulates. I then sent both passports with:
a)A covering letter mentioning that I am enclosing 2 passports (new ppt w/o any prev. H1 visa and old one with H1 visa stamps)
b)Attached the 2 passports together with a small cellotape on the outside.
4)Sent in original I-797 since my white I-94 had expired in Aug(played it safe per my lawyer's advise). It was returned back STAPLED
to my company letter and covering letter.
5) Had provided an additional photograph besides the one affixed to the form. This addnl. phtograph was returned unused.
