The www.visa-services.com website says that you can apply for H1 in Bombay if you are a resident of Maharashtra etc for last 6 months or if you have been issued H1 by Mumbai consulate.
I have been living in the USA for the last couple of years and I have done my first multiple entry H1 visa from Tijuana,Mexico. Does that mean I cannot apply in Mumbai my hometown?? Seems wrong !!! Or Does it mean that I dont not qualify for a dropbox and have to appear for an interview?
I think anyone who has permanent address in passport from Maharashtra can apply to Mumbai consulate dropbox irrespective of whether he got his prior H1 from there or not.. correct me if I am wrong !!!
If anyone had been issued a prior visa in Mexico/Canada and got his next visa in Mumbai please post your experiences..
