H1 valid for which company

Hi,
I didn't see such a question answered before so posting.

I was working with company A. Company B transferred my H1, but I didn't join. A week later C transferred by H1. C also got a 7th yr extension based on pending LC with A.

1. Can I join B now if I am still with A?
2. If I joined C for a week, can I leave and join B? (yes, there are some reasons for doing this).

Please let me know. Thanks

I don't want to comment on your question no 1, since I will not be certain of my answer, but for question no 2, I can say that you should at least wait a month or two on C and pick up several paystubs before moving onto B so that no one raises any eyebrows in the future.

Thanks for the reply.
Do I really need to wait since the H1 for B was transferred from A not C. Also at the time the transfer was done I was still employed by A.
What I am wondering is if the previous transferred H1 expires if a new transfer is done, especially in case I join the company doing the new transfer (C).
Now if I have to join B, can I use the previous H1 or do I need a new transfer from C to B. In case I need a new transfer then I would need to wait to get the paystubs.

thanks

What I told you was based upon what a lawyer told me to do when I was stuck in an awkward situation. Thank God those times are gone, but her advice still holds true.
