I'm awaiting my H1 extension (second 3-year period) approval from Texas (which I see from posts here should be re-named "the black hole"). Submitted late March so looks like will be late August before I hear anything.
Once it arrives, I want to get my "travel visa" (passport stamp) done via mail. I have checked various Web sites, but am a little unsure of the process, or how long it is curently taking. I checked the FAQ's and couldn't find anything. I want to go home for Christmas (U.K.) and am concerned the "visa stamp" process will take too long.
Personal experiences, referral to Web sites would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is a common question, or if I am in the wrong board. If so, give me hell - but also please point me in the right direction!
