H1 Transfer
Hi Friends,

I have applied for H1 transfer on 2nd May 02 and got the reciept number on May 5th 2002.Till today I haven't recieve any info from INS and the most worried thing is if I check the satus online at www.ins.gov for my reciept number it says it couldn't find my reciept number in the database.Same result even if I check thru automated phone.

Can anyone help me if you have heard the situation like getting NOT FOUND reply for the reciept number???.

I am trying to talk to the officers at INS but I never succeed.Suggestion will definately keeps me happy....

Hi Ramesh,

I am sailing in the same boat as you are. My application
was filed on the 6th of May.

My case does not show up online nor in their automated
voice message system. Spoke to an immigration
information officer. The current dates for H-1 are 06/03.
When I specifically asked for extension cases, she
repeated the same date. Wonder if she knew anything.

So please ask your Attorney/HR to call the INS. My
attorney has sent a fax request yestersday. Shall keep
you posted if I know anything.

Thanks for your reply.I have spoken with lawyer and he said he sent a FAX message last week end and waiting for the reply.It seems they will definately reply the FAX with in 10 business days.
I will update you if i hear any thing and so do u.

I have got my H1 approval on 15th Nov.attorney had sent FAX to the INS 10 days back and it got approved on 15th.Now they updated the database also.

you will hear from INS soon regarding your H1 since your Attoney also sent the FAX.

But check the status online once and you might see some thing about your H1 status if they updated.

H1-B transfer approved

H1-B Transfer approved.

Previous employer closed its door in early March, 2002,
filed the H1-B transfer from the new employer on April 8th, 2002, receipt date April 17th, 2002.

Both employers are in the Bay Area. California

regular non-premium processing.

Approved on Nov 27th, 2002

My H1B transfer filed on May 28th, 2002. So far it is not approved. If I check the status online I am getting same old message saying it will take 30-60 days. Do I need to ask my attorney to send enquiry to INS?

My H1 petition was filed on 24th June 2002 and today is 18th Jan 2003. Yet waiting for approval.Normal petition from Calif. Is there anyone with a similar case.

Pending H1B

My H1B petition was filed on May 22, 2002 in CA but up to now, I still haven't received any information yet whether the application is approved or not -- no RFE so far. I hope this will give insight to those who are in the same boat. thanks and good luck! :confused: :(
 
H1 trasfer

Hello guys,
I need to file for a H1 trasfer from company A to company B. What are the fees involved, forms, is there a premium process, what is the time frame that I have since my last working day at company A ? Thanks in advance. bdw I am here in California,
