H1 transfer

I am on H1B visa now. This visa expires in the month of Nov 2006.

The company has now filed for my L1A visa and they have recieved the approval notice. I have not yet got the visa stamped.

Does this mean my H1B visa is cancelled? Can I now apply for H1B transfer to another company?
