1. I am currently employed by an academic institution which has filed for the extension of the H1. I was told by them that as long as it's filed before the expiration date, I am still in good status. Is that true? My H1B expires in mid November.
2. How long will it take to get the approval notice?
3.Now I have other academic institutions that are interested in hiring me. Can they file for my H1 transfer while I am still waiting for the approval for the renewal petition from the first institution? It's most likely that my second employer file the transfer in December, which is after my H1B first-term expires.
4.Is there a waiting period after the second employer file for the transfer ? Can I work for them right away after receiving the receipt or should I wait for the approval of transfer?
