I have a situation where I need some advice and help mainly for my information sake. I am currently working at a Fortune 20 company and have been on an H1 visa for 3.5 years. My current H1 is due to expire in Aug 2007 (4years total). Company is going to renew to file for my renewal in April.
I have recently been offered a new job with a different company who is willing to transfer my H1 and apply for GC as well. My question is can I apply for transfer and renewal at the same time or are they two separate procedures. Also, another thing that adds to my confusion is that I am getting married in July 07 and will need to file for a H4 for my spouse at that time.
How should I proceed with the new company? Are there any issues that I should be aware of and if so, how should I deal with them?
