Assume the following scenario:
1)My H1 transfer is filed on Oct 12th 2005
2) Lawyers estimate it takes three weeks to get the transfer receipt, whic means that by 3rd Nov , they should get the receipt.
3) I submit my resignation to my current employer, stating that the 3rd of November is my last day at work.
Now, what if the receipt takes longer than 3 weeks to arrive, which, I've read, it does. Lets say it arrives on the 10th of Nov. Am I out of status from the 3rd of Nov to the 10th?
How does one go about submitting resignation to current employer with such an uncertain estimate of time?
