H1 transfer & part time - please help

Got a question to ask.. please help if you know the answer.

I'm working for company "A" at the moment. I have got an offer from company "B", and they are currently doing an H1B transfer to the new company.

It turns out that company "A" wants me to work part-time for them besides my full time job with co. "B". From a H1B standpoint, what should company "A" do?

I talked to co. "A"'s immigration attorney and he said that they just need to ammend the H1B and change it into part-time. Is this really do-able? Isn't my H1B status is now with co. "B" and therefore co. "A" can't do anything to it anymore? Don't they have to apply for a new, part-time H1B for me? I'm not a pro in this matter but logically, isn't it what they need to do?

Every little hints or opinion helps. Thanks..

You're both right, The company just needs to amend the H-1. The do that by filing all the paperwork with INS, just like a new H-1, an H-1 transfer or an H-1 extension. It just depends on how you fill out the form.
