I have been working on h-1b for a automotive company since oct'2003 (valid thorugh oct' 06) and recently I shifted to a different company. The new company applied for my H-1 Transfer on 4th oct' 2004 and got a receipt by 21st october 2004. I started working with the new company from November' 9th 2004. This week I got a approval notice from BCIS stating transfer is valid from October' 05 through october '07. I am in a fix now as to if it was a mistake on part of BCIS printing october' 05 instead of october' 04. I contacted my HR regarding this and they said they will talk to the company lawyers. But I was wondering if my present work status would be valid as the approval is valid starting oct'05.
