Hello,
I have a H1 visa stamped till Sep'2005 .
I have got transfer of this H1 to new Employer and i got
approval for transfer & extension of stay.
I am planning to go out of US in Sep'04 and reenter Oct'04.
Do i need a new visa stamp as my employer has changed?
Do i need to show my new petition + passport( having visa stamped with old company) when i renter US so that INS officer gives me I-94 for new dates?

I am asking this question regarding all the confusion prevailing regarding
visa revalidation etc.

Many thanks in advance for your help,
Srini

NO, you don't need a new visa stamp. Your existing stamp is good until Sept 2005.

Yes, you will have to show the original I-797 approval notice when you enter US. The new I-94 you get at that time will match the expiration of your approval notice.
