Hey folks,
My I-94 was expiring 14 June 2007 and the company I used to work with then (Company A) filed for my extension in end of Apr 2007 to maintain my status. During end of May 2007 (I was still working for Comp A) I got an offer from Company B and did a premium H1B transfer which got approved in 2 weeks (I have the approved petition from Comp B) and I started working with Company B starting 19 June 2007. Since starting work with Company B, I never followed up or got any info on what happened to the H1B extension filed by my old company A. Now after 5 months in Nov 2007 I get an automated mail from USCIS stating that they are re-opening my case (from the WAC# I know that the case is my old company's H1B extension) and will let me know about the result in 30 days. Is there any reason why I should be worried about this? Are there any Action Items required from my end? In the sense, would it come and bite me later in the future when I apply for either H1B transfers/ H1B stamping/ GC processing etc?
Any input will be much appreciated!
