H1 Transfer and H1B stamping

I have got my H1B transfer approval notice but not recived any I-797 form with new company.
I was in US upto 2007 March and now i am in india.
Sinjce my H1B stamping on passport is valid till 2008 with former employer.Is it possible to travel on the old stamp ? If yes what documents I need to carry with me and what should I say during immigration check if the officer raise the question of company. Please help.


Or do i need to go for consulate again New H1b stamping ? Could you please hel p me.:confused:
 
You should be all set to travel. Carry whatever filing info (I-797 receipt notice at least) you have from the new employer.
