H1 transfer and 30 day question

Hello Friends,

I lost my job on 4th march, 14th march was my last paycheck date, my employer said that i have 30 days to transfer my h1 visa, those 30 days end on 13th april which is a sunday.

questions-
then is that true that the 30th day will the the next working day that is monday april 14th???

i am asking this because i got a job offer as of april 11th--today, but this is just an offer, there is no application for transfer of h1 with the INS as yet.

so if my h1 is cancelled as after 30 days (april 11 or april 14th) by my old employer, what recourses do i have to be on the safe side.

this new employer is willing to transfer the h1.

If I understand you correctly, your old employer said he would
wait for 30 days before intimating the INS about cancellation of
your H1.

If that is what you said, then this is not a big concern for you now.
The question is what kind of documents you can submit for your
new H1.

If you give your new employer the paystub dated 15th of March,
then you may scrape through the transfer process ( the word
transfer used to denote a case where you get the I-94. In theory
there is no such thing as transfer. Each one is a new H1), since
it is only 1 month old.
