H1 to H4

Hi
I came here on H4 when my husbend is with company A.after that he transfered his H1 to company B .For the same company B i applied for H1 and it is approved.I got SSN and used it.My old H4 is valid upto august 2008.Now i have to go india. do i have to attend stamping?if i have to attend for which one H1 or H4? If i want to attend for H1 how many months paystub i need?

Yes you need to get an H-1B visa stamped and reenter the U.S. in H-1B to be able to continue working for the Company B.

As to the number of pay stubs, just a few usually suffice. But I'm not very familiar with H-1B processing at U.S. Consulates in India. It may not be a bad idea to check with them.

I have valid H4 stamping upto aug 2008.if i have to go india can i use my old h4 and come back to U.S with out stamping on that H4.
