My wife is planning to switch from H1 to H4 next year so that she may stay home take care of the two young kids. My question is whether she will be able to specify a definite switch date in her application. For example, she wants to start H4 status from 04/01/2007, is there a way to do that while sending application to USCIS? On Form I-539, I dont see a field where you may specify the start date but I do see a field for the end date...
