i came to usa on h4 (h4 stamp in passport) , then changed status to H1 but never left the country . now got laid off . what is the procedure to convert back to H4 ? , also , husband applied for GC (i140 , i485 concurrent , no approval for 1-140 yet) and got EAD card . can i stay on EAD or is it safe to convert to H4 ?
