H1 to H4/H4 to h1

Hi All,
I am currently in h1b status now,I am thinking to take a break from work for a while.If i want to change to h4,what will be the process.

Later if i want to change to h1 from h4,what will be the process.
Do i need to apply for new h1 or i can use my old h1.
Once i change my status to h4,will i lose my h1 for ever.
Is it possible to revoke the old h1?

You can change from H-1 to H-4 and vice versa. Please note that the time spent on H-4 does not accumulates to the 6 year limit. Yes you can use the same H-1 later. For details on this plea read here.

So what all i have to do to change into h4 status and what documents i need to have.
And vice versa for h4 to h1.
