H1 to H4 conversion - urgent!!
Hi,
I'm currently on an H1 visa and have filed an application to convert to H4. My application was received in the USCIS last week. Can i quit my job now or do i have to wait until the application gets approved?
My lawyer "assumed" that I-539's could also be premium processed and filed my application only two weeks back but it is taking anywhere from 2-3 months for approval. Due to personal reasons i need to quit my job. He says i can quit since i have a pending application, but i don't trust him too much - can someone please confirm if you've had or heard of a similar situation.
