I am a newbie and would really appreciate frank responses.
My H1 started on February of 2001
My H1 will expire in February of 2007.
I want to switch companies at this stage and the new company says that they will not be willing to start my GC processing until August/September of 2006 since they will want to wait at least a year before they start the process.
At that stage I will only have around 6-7 months left on my H1.
All I want to know is if that is a risk I should take.
Also once the processing does start in August 2006, will there be a lot of travel restrictions and other things that I will have to take care of?
I just want to make sure that having only 6-7 months left on my H1 will not pose a big problem for me.
