H1 to F2 transfer

I'm on H1 and got laid off recently. The company let me take 2 month unpaid leave and work for the last 1 week. I have a couple of questions. I'd appreciate it anybody can help.

1. Does H1->F2 transfer need the last month paycheck? I only got the last week paycheck, would that be a problem?
2. If I go out of US and apply for F2, will the visa officer reject my application because of the the fact that I have been on H1 and applied for PERM?

PERM will certainly affect F2 application. Is your spouse in F1 status btw?
For COS, paystubs are required or substantial evidence for long leave is required.
