Here is my present situation:
I was working on H-1B for company X, before moving to Y on an H-1B transfer. I was laid off frm Y last month and immediately filed for H-1B to F-1 conversion. Subsequently, I got an offer from X and it turns out that revoked my first H-1B which is valid till April 2003 was never revoked. So my questions:
1) Can I start employment with X right away? Does INS need to be notified?
2) What is the procedure for canceling/withdrawing the I-539 application for conversion to F-1?
3) Will the fact that I had two valid H-1s for almost a year, but got paid from only one company have a negative impact on my GC processing in the future?
