I am on H1 and it will expire soon. I have found another job and they are willing to sponsor me H1.
Problem is, the position they offer me will only be available 3 months after my current H1 expires, and I can not afford to leave the country due to family reason.
Can I get the H1 now then take unpaid leave for 3 months until the position is available? It sounds almost illegal, but I don't see other way around it.
Please advise me on this.
