H1 stamping from Tijuana

I am a software consultant from east coast and currently working on the west coast. I would like to go to tijuana for my multi entry H1 stamping. This is the first stamping. I would like to know whether anyone had any problems in the last few months. If they trouble people here then I may go to matamoros or el paso. Inaddition which mexican consulates give visas back the same day.

it was a really common thing to do before 911, canada & mexico.
However, if they reject your application, you will not be able to re-enter US at all.

And yes, i have friends who had to go back to Thailand to get another F-1.
I know that you are talking about your H1B, but i believe that it's the same rules, which means that you have to show them that you are in mexico because of something else, other than "just coming here for stamping."
