H1 stamping for Pakistanis (in Canada/Pakistan)

I was wondering if anyone here had any personal experience (or heard of someone else's experience) about how long it takes for Pakistanis to get H1 stamped from Canada or from Pakistan (first time stamp or revalidation). I have been in US for about 4 years now, did my MBA and been working for almost two years and thinking about H1 stamping either from Canada or go to Pakistan. However, at the same time I don't want to put my job at risk if its going to take months.

Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regardless of where you go, you are going to be stuck for atleast 4 months if not more. Canada may be faster, but a client of my lawyer is in Toronto for 6 months and have lost his job as well his house. If you read on other forums there are other pakistanis stuck in pakistan as well.

Ofcourse I am no lawyer so take my advice with a grain of salt

I came to Ottawa for the revalidatin of my H1b visa and submitted my application on 5th april 2004. since then today is june 21 i am still waiting. each time i call them they said. iam under the security check and once i am clear consultate would call me

I am a Canadian immigrant but also i am from Pakistan. i am stucked here and waiting since long. now its almost 3 months but no good news yet. I have sent 2 faxes to consutle and many calls to 1-900 nos and state depy but no luck. Any one.. can help me I would really appreciate this.
