I hope somebody on this forum can guide me.
Three months back, my wife and i had a fight and the situation went out of control, i called the police and they arrested her. On the next day she was released and on next court hearing the charges was dismissed. There was no probation and no conviction. As per advice from our criminal attorney, she underwent some anger management courses and later court dismissed the charges against her. We had applied for expungement of records also.
Now, she needs to go to Chennai consulate for h1 visa stamping. I understand, on DS-156, she have to mention "YES" to the "Have you ever been arrested?" question.
1. During stamping, will she have any problems due to this arrest? If, so, what are the additional documents she need to carry that would help her get through the stamping?
2. Apart from expungement do we need to take any additional actions before going for stamping?
