I came to the US in 99 on F1 since then have shifted to h1 and recently got my H1 extension [1st time i got H1 for only 2 years :( ]
There is no H1 Stamp on my passport [ new , old one has the F1 stamp]

I am going to Canada for stamping, do you gurus see any reason for refusal based on info below?

*Salary on the LCA is less than what the employer has stated on employment letter addressed to consulate.

*Photo on the new passport is at least 2 years old and is black and white

*OPT [EAD] expired on Jan 14 but received H1 only on Feb 22 [H1 was applied in Dec though i.e i received the SRC number in Dec]

any advice /info will be greatly appreciated.

Deep2000,

For your question, I guess a letter from your employer explianing the reason for the delay might help.

I am also going for H1 stamp to canada. Even i have F1 stamp on passport from year 1999. I am going for H1 stamp first time.

BTW, which consulate in Canada you are going ?

Let me know, so that we can help each other.

thanks

*Salary on the LCA is less than what the employer has stated on employment letter addressed to consulate. If your salary is MORE than LCA, then you are OK.

*Photo on the new passport is at least 2 years old and is black and white.Does not matter.

*OPT [EAD] expired on Jan 14 but received H1 only on Feb 22 [H1 was applied in Dec though i.e i received the SRC number in Dec]
Have documentation to prove that you were NOT employed during the period of OPT expiration and H1 approval.
any advice /info will be greatly appreciated.
